  Aviation museum offering family tours

The National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs offers special family tours during the summer. Tours are designed to bring generations together and stimulate an interest in history and aviation for kids 6 to12 years old. Tours take place every Saturday, from May 26 to Aug. 25, with start times of 10 a.m. and noon. Tickets purchased in advance on-line at http://worldwariiaviation.org are discounted. World War II veterans are free.
Kids are provided an overview of World War II aviation in context, they examine flyable World War II Aircraft and learn basic aviation concepts. A tour of WestPac Restorations is included, where kids learn about how the planes are made flyable again. Kids can finish their experience with a PT-19 simulator ride.
Kids younger than 6 years old are welcome. Bring your whole family to share the experience!
