The El Paso County Farm Bureau is sponsoring a “Private Applicators Workshop” March 25 at the Miami Yoder High School cafeteria from noon to 4 p.m.The workshop will cover EPA guidelines for Worker Protection Standards by Tara Steinke from the Colorado State University Department of bioagricultural sciences and pest management will cover EPA guidelines for worker protection standards. Jayde Van Cleave from the Colorado Farm Bureau will provide information about proposed legislation regarding the private applicators program. Mark Johnson from the El Paso County Weed Board will be assisting private land owners in filling out the application form and open book test for a private applicators license. For those who are renewing their license, bring the expired license to the workshop.There will be a $10 charge for non-farm bureau members.
