Yes, I know it suppose to be the month of love and romance. But, take a journey with me as we take a look at one of my date mares. To this day, this date still haunts me.It was suppose to be a simple date. We had been talking for several weeks. I had seen pictures of her and vice versa. The butterflies were flying as I headed to pick her up. Then, the phone rang and it was her saying she was running late – could I move the date time back an hour. No problem, right?I decided to head to a bar for a few drinks. Meanwhile, at the bar I meet a wonderful gal who happen to know the girl I was about to pick up. This chick was hot.I asked her to tell me a little about this girl. After a moment of laughter, she replied, “You’ll find out.”It was time to pick her up. I knocked at the door, and she answered. She was good looking, but things turned weird. Right away, she asks me if I believe in love at first sight. I said, “Sure, why not?” Her response, “I think I love you.”WOW! We haven’t even left the house. What to do; what to do? OK, let’s see what happens. The next three hours are filled with conversation about how we could make a wonderful home together and how she believes our children would get along just fine. What haunts me is that she was dead serious. This girl really wanted to be my wife, not girlfriend, WIFE. Do we understand that LIFE and WIFE is only one letter away? After she was done speaking, and it was a lot of speaking, she asked, “What do you think?”My first thought: “I think you need to slow down, you freak.” I told her I wanted a date, not a weight. I wanted to explore my options. I was just recently divorced. I am not ready to be stalked. The tears streamed down her face as if I just ripped her heart out. At this point, I became a counselor. I told her she would find her man eventually; it just simply wasn’t me.All I want is a simple date. Is anyone out there?Hey David,There’s only one way to avoid those bad dates – meet my favorite date … Coco.
