Colorado National Bank coming to Falcon

Colorado National Bank officials said they plan to open a branch in Falcon in about a year.Colorado National Executive Vice-President Dave Alley said the Falcon plans are the first in a strategy to more than double the bank’s presence in the Pikes Peak region within the next decade.Alley said the bank, which has nearly $100 million in Colorado assets and caters to smaller businesses with assets at or below $5 million, plans to build another Colorado Springs branch within the next couple of years. Alley said the bank has a goal to have a total of five branches in the region within three years and five branches by 2008.The Falcon branch will be located at the intersection of Woodmen and McLaughlin roads across the street from Safeway.Bank officials met a couple weeks ago to decide the design of the new building. Alley said the final choice will be narrowed from three options.Crews will likely break ground in 90 to 100 days.
