At the March meeting of the local business group, the Falcon Professional Development League, Dr. Jim Friedly announced that FPDL members would be voting on new officers at the April meeting, which will be held on Wed., April 6. Those interested in running for office should contact Tom Cline or Dr. Scott Miller at the contact information listed below.The FPDL is gathering information and interest for its third business exposition. Members were asked if they wanted to change the date of the exposition from the Fourth of July weekend to another weekend during the summer. The majority felt that holding the expo on a different weekend could garner more interest from the business community along with more attendees. No alternate date has been set as of this publication date.A fire department representative talked at the meeting about the need for support of the Falcon Fire Protection District. The fire department has three stations – one staffed and two satellite stations, and all stations are getting busier because of the growth in the area. See statistics from the fire department listed below. Because of the increased calls and responsibilities, the fire district is contemplating a return to voters in the fall elections.The next meeting will be Wed., April 6 at the Falcon Fire Protection District firehouse.
