The NFH heard a rumor last month after we published the March newspaper that King Soopers is not building a new store in Falcon. We called King Soopers, and, despite early reports, the rumor is TRUE. A local developer and county planner told the NFH that King Soopers had “demanded” a new road – the new Meridian Road – before they agreed to come in to Falcon. Not so, said Trail Daughtery, a King Soopers representative from Denver. And there are no plans on the books at this time for a King Soopers in Falcon. Go figure! We’ll be trying to figure out how county planners and developers got that one wrong!
