More on CRE Motorsports – the “Little Track on the Prairie”

CRE Motorsports Park is located 26 miles east-northeast of Colorado Springs in the Falcon-Peyton area. The park was built in 1994 and features a one-half mile asphalt sprint track, 22 feet wide, with six possible track layouts ranging from the reversible half-mile configuration to a four-tenths, one-third and quarter mile layout. The racetrack is smooth, fast, extremely technical and features rolling elevation changes with abundant roll off around the perimeter. The facility also has a kart shop and full service center. The rare air at 6,880 feet makes CRE Motorsports Park the highest dedicated kart track in the continental United States. The track layout was designed to meet World Karting Association specifications and safety standards.CRE Motorsports Park was the proud host of a WKA sanctioned Champ Car Stars of Tomorrow Western Regional event in 2003 and is the newly appointed Rocky Mountain Western Divisional host track to the 2004 Snapon Stars of Karting. CRE is also the current host of the Colorado Rotax Challenge and has been a past host of SKUSA Mountain Region events.CRE Motorsports Park is the first track in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West to be proudly affiliated and nationally sanctioned by the WKA. It is CRE’s hope to promote the continued growth of the WKA program in our division and across the country. CRE hopes to see the continued expansion of the WKA Manufactures Cup, Gold Cup and other divisional and regional series in to the Rocky Mountain West in the near future in an effort to get our competitors involved in WKA National Championship events.CRE Motorsports conducts a 12-race regular season that starts in mid-March and is capped off with the WKA Colorado State Sprint Championships in October.Kart racing is now serving as the foundation for youngsters and families interested in motor sports and potential career opportunities in the field. The sport also serves as a great recreational activity for fathers and sons or daughters, families and individuals alike.The park is located at 21430 Spencer Road just two miles east of Peyton Highway, approximately nine miles east of Falcon.
