The El Paso County Board of Commissioners gave their okay to a long-term plan to reduce the duplication of services among departments and maximize the latest technology for getting information to citizens with speed and at a low cost. One of the tools the county is about to introduce is an information service that citizens can download to their personal computers. It will allow residents immediate access to information like county road closures and weather alerts. The service will offer a full range of county information, and it should be up and running by the end of December.Visit www.elpasoco.com for more information.
