Motorists should be alert when they are nearing the intersections of Marksheffel and Meridian roads on Woodmen Road.The permanent shifts began Sept. 21, and the rest of the new alignment will be finished in late October.The new Woodmen Road alignment includes a number of improvements: smoothed-out curves, improved sight distance and elimination of the “roller-coaster” effect. The old Woodmen Road will be used as a frontage road. There will be signals at Marksheffel, Mohawk, Lizard Head, and Meridian roads on the new portion.Construction work on the new Woodmen Road alignment between Marksheffel Road and Meridian Road is about finished. Traffic was supposed to be moved from the current Woodmen Road to the new segment Thurs., Oct. 21.
