As reported last month in the NFH, there is talk of gathering support for a skateboard park. Those weighing in are school officials from District 49, Woodmen Hills residents and administration and Tim Wolken from El Paso County Parks and Recreation. The skateboard park is a seed in the growing minds of many young people (and adults) who think that Falcon needs more recreational opportunities for its youth. Business leaders are encouraged to jump on board with the idea, and if anyone is interested in heading up a committee, e-mail the NFH at mlmon@att.net, and the information will be passed on to the appropriate people. The NFH will talk to parks and recreation next month about funding and possibilities for county support.
