Jim Day is still collecting signatures to ensure his spot as a candidate for county commissioner on the November ballot. If you are a registered Republican and desire representation from YOUR area, sign the petition at Farmer Jim’s and Bartlett’s in Falcon, the bowling alley, Taste Buds and Fuel B’s in Calhan, Circle K in Ellicott, Pikes Peak Animal Supply on East Platte in Colorado Springs and Frankie’s in the Springs on Powers and Galley. Please sign before June 1.By the way, other candidates are paying (70 cents for the signature – $1 if it’s valid) people to solicit petition signatures, but Jim and Lisa Day are doing it the old-fashioned way – through hard work and meeting the people face to face.FYI: Some candidates might tell you it is okay to sign two petitions. It is illegal to sign two petitions; however, the first candidate to submit a petition gets the credit, even though the date is recorded. Hmmm !
