Protect Our Wells (POW)

Protect Our Wells (POW) will conduct its annual membership meeting at 3 p.m. on Sun., April 25 at the Black Forest Community Center at Shoup and Black Forest Roads, just north of the fire station. An election to fill two board positions will take place.POW is a local citizen’s advocacy group for county residents who have private wells associated with the Denver Basin aquifers (the Dawson, Denver, Arapahoe, and Laramie/Fox Hills). POW is a nonprofit organization representing concerns related to state and local ground water issues.The April guest speaker will be announced on the Web site http://protectourwells.org. You do not need to be a member to attend the meeting; however, if you would like to join POW, membership dues are 5 a year per household and include a quarterly newsletter.
