American Legion Poker Run

On June 6, the American Legion Riders, from Falcon American Legion Dane R. Balcon Post 2008, hosted its 12th annual Falcon Freedom Poker Run. All proceeds go back into the community to support veteran organizations and other groups such as Sarah’s home, local food banks, etc. that support troops and their families.

A row of motorcycles is parked along the curb outside a restaurant on a sunny day, with a grassy area and people visible in the background.

The bikes are all lined up ahead of the Poker Run at Red’s American Grill — riders started and ended at Red’s.

Three men in biker vests stand together and smile in front of an American Legion tent at an outdoor event, with other people and motorcycles in the background.

Participating in the event were the following American Legion riders: left to right, Chris “Snowman” Carter; president; Scott “Sneaky” Peterson, sergeant-at-arms; Randy “Speed” Blevins, vice president.

Editor’s note: In the next couple of months, look for a more in-depth story in the NFH on the American Legion Riders.
