The Color Studio

One of Peytonís newest salons, The Color Studio, celebrates one year in business this month.†The owner, Stephanie Taylor, said, ìWhen I first moved to Peyton four years ago, there wasnít a whole lot out here. Peyton was screaming for a salon. There are so many stay-at-home moms, working moms, people that just donít want to drive from Peyton all the way to Colorado Springs. So, my focus became bringing Colorado Springs to Peyton ó to give people the same quality salon in their local neighborhood.Taylorís vision for her five-star salon in Peyton came to life, despite delays. ìI started getting plans designed in November of 2020, and the actual build didnít take place until March of 2021 because of COVID. The company that I hired to build had me up and running by May 4, 2021,î she said.Since opening last May, The Color Studio has grown into a five-person team of like-minded women working together to provide a full-service salon experience for their clients. Taylor projects that by the end of the year, they will have more than 800 new clients.ìWe do everything from your basic haircut and style to cuts and colors, Japanese thermal straightening, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, body waxing, spray tans and updos and makeup for weddings and special occasions,î Taylor said. She said the ìcut and colorî is their most popular service; and it also includes a complementary cocktail during the coloring process. Plus, clients can also opt for a new medical-grade facial procedure. ìItís a hand-held light therapy machine for clients to use while their color is being applied or processed,î Taylor said. ìThey rub their entire face with it, and afterwards we apply a diamond collagen cream. Itís really amazing.îGoing above and beyond for customers is something The Color Studio prides itself on. ìI want everyone to come in and have a five-star service,î she said. ìThatís why we guarantee everything we do for seven business days Ö and most importantly, why we take into consideration what most people donít: the integrity of a customerís hair.î†Taylorís values come from her long-time experience in the industry. She began pursuing cosmetology in Texas 18 years ago. When she moved to Colorado, she started her career in downtown Colorado Springs. ìI was on the downtown streets with my chair giving 15-to-25-dollar haircuts to people who were walking by to lunch. And look where I am now!î†Taylor already has plans to expand in the future. For now, she said, ìWe have room for one more special person to join our team of stylists. Iím creating a family of women, not just a salon.î
