Falcon Field propertyThe El Paso County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved a request by Falcon Field LLC, for the following: to rezone 18.55 acres of the 57.667-acre property from the commercial regional zone to the residential, multi-dwelling zone; and 19.265 acres from the CR zone to the residential suburban-5000 zone. The remainder of the property will stay zoned CR. The property is located on the south side of Highway 24, at the eastern end of Woodmen Road. See article on Pg.El Paso County fairgroundsThe commissioners unanimously approved a contract to Ed Green Construction Co. to construct a new small animal barn at the El Paso County fairgrounds for $1,240,479. As part of the project, Ed Green Construction will demolish four aging small barns and replace them with one larger small-animal barn.Rolling Hills RanchThe BOCC unanimously approved the preliminary release of funds for subdivision improvements in Rolling Hills Ranch at Meridian Ranch Filing No. 1 for $5,691,977. All improvements have been completed and inspected.Treasured Acres propertyThe commissioners unanimously approved a request by Jerry and Sharon Lomax for a minor subdivision to create three single-family residential lots on 15.18 acres. The property is zoned residential rural-5 and is located along the north side of Burgess Road at the northern end of Green Acres Lane, about 1 mile northeast of the intersection of Burgess Road and Vollmer Road.
