Black Forest Halloween Trunk or Treat Festival

The Black Forest Community Club continued the tradition of Oktoberfest, and also hosted their first-ever community Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween. The two events were held side-by-side, using the backyard space owned by the BFCC (where the Farmers Market was held this summer).Marie Turner, member of the BFCC, said they followed state COVID-19 regulations, provided hand sanitizers, free masks to those who didnít have one and monitored the gate to spread out the families. Das Half Pint band played Oktoberfest music, R&R Coffee CafÈ provided coffee and the BFCC provided brats and drinks; all donated, she said.More than 30 businesses and families decorated trunks for the Trunk or Treat event, and Turner said they estimated about 800 people came through.ìWe are so thankful for all the volunteers, for Firehouse on the Run and Black Forest Auto for their financial donations and the donations from many of the other community businesses and individuals who helped make this happen,î she said.
