Starting on or after Wednesday, April 29, the intersection of Rolling Thunder Way and Meridian Road will be closed for intersection reconstruction. El Paso County Department of Public Worksí contractor, Kiewit Infrastructure Company, will reconstruct the intersection sooner than originally planned to expedite work while traffic volumes are low. Business access will remain open during construction.†The current signed detour for roundabout construction at the McLaughlin Road, Old Meridian Road and Rolling Thunder intersection will remain in place. Additional road closures and detour routes will also be in effect starting on or after April 29 for approximately four weeks:
- Rolling Thunder Way will be closed east of Foxtail Meadows Drive ñ use Golden Sage Drive to access Woodmen Road and bypass the intersection.
- Meridian Road will be closed north of Rolling Thunder Way / Old Meridian Road ñ- use Meridian Road and McLaughlin Road to access Woodmen Road and bypass the construction zone.
