The NRA Foundation has awarded the Young Guns Post 2008 Junior Shooting Sports Program a grant totaling $1,192 to fund new equipment. Young Guns Post 2008 is a program of Dane R. Balcon Post 2008 of The American Legion in Falcon. The program started in 2017 with a grant from the NRA Foundation; it teaches local youths gun safety and marksmanship for the Three Position Air Rifle.”We are very excited about the program, which teaches youth the importance of gun safety, and pleased that the NRA is making an investment in our community,î said James Kendig, Post 2008 member.The National Rifle Association, established in 1871, is Americaís oldest civil rights and sportsmenís group.
