Barbara Jagoda of eastern El Paso County, author of ìMagna Terra Smoky, will have a book signing Saturday, Feb. 9, at Equi-line†in the Latigo Equestrian Center, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ìMagna Terra Smokyî is a true story† of† an unruly, unwanted 2-year-old colt destined for the cattle auction barn in Fort Collins until Jagoda stepped in and rescued him. She didnít know a thing about race horses, but she learned; and Smoky, even after losing his right eye, went on to become a legend in the Arabian horse racing world. Find out more about the book at http://magnaterrasmoky.com.†Because Smoky was a rescue, Jagoda will donate one-third of the proceeds from her book to a local animal rescue.
