For the second year, the National Museum of World War II Aviation will offer a summer only Airmen Familiarization tour for kids ages 6 to 12.†The tour provides a two-hour learning experience about the history of World War II, aviation fundamentals and how planes are restored. Tours begin at 11 a.m. every Saturday, from May 27 to Sept. 2; purchase tickets at the door or online for a discount.Simulator experience included.All participants receive a certificate of completion for the Airmen Familiarization tour, general aviation materials and an aviation nautical chart of Colorado.The National Museum of World War II Aviation is located on a 20-acre campus on the northwest side of the Colorado Springs Airport.
