The spring semester for Bill Callenís Pikes Peak New Horizons Band begins Jan. 19, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 at Strickland Chapel on the northern part of the Nazarene Bible College campus at1111 Academy Park Loop (just east of Freedom Honda on S. Academy). This event is a ìmeet and greetî for those interested in joining the band.The band is made up of adults over 40 with various musical backgrounds, from those who havenít played for decades to accomplished musicians.Bill Callen and Mark Israel direct the group.The New Horizons Band is a nationwide organization for musicians 40 years and older. Bill Callenís Pikes Peak New Horizons Band is made up of The Gold Concert Band and the Swingmasters Jazz Band.Spring semester rehearsals are every Tuesday and Thursday, beginning Jan. 26, from 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 at Strickland Chapel.
