Falcon-area veterinarians Dr. Amy Clark and Dr. Rob Willyard are opening a new veterinary clinic, Tender Care Veterinary Center, on Meridian Road near 7-Eleven. Clark will be introducing her new facility and services to the community with an open house July 25. They will be open for business July 29.Owning a veterinary practice has been a lifelong dream, Clark said. ìIt has always been my calling, taking care of animals growing up. It always seemed like the right fit for me,î Clark said. Clark and Willyard both worked at Animal Hospital of Falcon before moving to Tender Care.Clark served in the U.S. Army as a veterinary officer. She completed her military service at Fort Carson and moved to Falcon in 2010. ìI always loved Colorado and always thought I would come back here; and, through the military, was able to do that,î Clark said. ìWhen I got out, I decided to go into private practice, and was already living in Falcon. It allowed me to establish a lot of contacts, clients and relationships to get where I’m at now.îThe practice will serve dogs and cats, with complete medical, dental and surgical care. Grooming and acupuncture will also be offered. ìAcupuncture was a niche and passion of mine,î Clark said. ìIt helped with military working dog rehabilitation, and I look forward to offering that here.îClark said she wants Tender Care to be known for never turning away an emergency case. ìWe plan on being a 24/7 clinic, so Dr. Rob and I will be splitting the shifts,î Clark said. ìI want to make sure we never turn people away. We will be available for walk-in emergencies during business hours. We’ll have a set-up where clients can call the clinic, and we can talk them through their after-hour emergency, or I would be able to come in and meet them at the clinic.îTender Care is pre-booking appointments to hit the ground running serving Falcon’s companion pets. Tender Care Veterinary Center is at 8036 Meridian Road in Falcon. Details about the open house event and appointment information can be found at http://tcvetcenter.com or call 719-559-8282.
