On Memorial Day, retired Chief Warrant Officer 4 Roderick N. McCorvey, a Falcon resident, participated with the 10th U.S. Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers†honoring†a 10th Cavalry Regiment trooper, George W. Mason, who died in 1929 and is buried†in Evergreen Cemetery. The 10th U.S. Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers not only honor the valor and patriotism of all fallen military members, but also strive to educate and teach African-American contributions for the nations military history.
