Two students from Falcon Middle School recently competed at the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition. The CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Education Program was established by the Air Force Association. The program was created to motivate students toward careers in cyber security and other science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. Students compete against each other in teams of two, trying to resolve cybersecurity vulnerabilities in simulated environments.Cole Snyder and Colin Ralph, led by their coach, Thomas Russell, took home third place in the Middle School Division State award. The top three middle school division teams will advance to the CyberPatriot VII finals in Washington, D.C. March 11-March 15.
