Craft fair mania

Last yearís successful Falcon Craft Fair, sponsored by the Exchange Club of Falcon, featured more than 80 vendors from well-known brands like Pampered Chef and Mary Kay to the neighborhood mom who designs little girls’ hair bows or quilts and handbags. There is no better place to shop homegrown businesses than our own Falcon Craft Fair, scheduled this year for Oct. 17 and Oct. 18 at the Patriot Learning Center, 11990 Swingline Road in Peyton. As always, this is a charity craft fair, so admission can be cash, food or a new toy that will go to the local High Plains Helping Hands. Come on out and let your guy hang out at the woodworkerís booth or admire handcrafted wood pens and pencils. Lunch will be available, too. Again this yearís fair will highlight stuff for the kids like face-painting and Spiderman. Thanks to all you shoppers, we were able to give away nearly $6,000 in 2013 to help the needy in our community.
