One year later; a feel good story in Black Forest

I’ve known June Larson for more than seven years. She works as a photo specialist in the Falcon Walmart photo lab where I have all my photos developed.I’ve know Carol Ann for more than six years. She and her daughter, Hallee, started taking piano lessons from me about five years ago. In that time we have developed a friendship – one that goes beyond that of a teacher and a student. On June 11, 2013, I received the horrible news that Carol Ann’s house was destroyed in the Black Forest fire. I felt so helpless and wanted to do whatever I could to help my friend. It wasn’t until nearly a year later when an opportunity presented itself. One day as I was shopping at Walmart, June stopped me and asked if I knew anyone who would like a free piano. One person immediately came to my mind.I told June about my friend, Carol Ann. June offered to keep the piano at her house, and would deliver the piano after Carol Ann’s new home was completed. I cried tears of joy right there in the store. All I could do was hug June and rush off to tell Carol Ann the great news. This month, the two ladies finally met and it was if they had been friends for several years. I’m sure every time Carol Ann or Hallee sit down to play their piano, they will think fondly of their new friend June.
