Relay for Life, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, will kick off at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7. Organizer Diane Saign said there are plenty of activities ñ games, food and prizes ñ for a fun and friendly experience.A golf tournament for Relay for Life has become another tradition that will take place June 20 at the Antler Creek Golf Club. Janel Entner, organizer, said last year they had 28 teams, 350 participants and raised almost $60,000 for Relay for Life.The golf tournament will include a four-person scramble and a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The cost is $100 per person, with 50 percent of the cost going to Relay for Life (50 percent is tax-deductible). Included in the price are carts, golf balls and lunch. Prizes for feats like the longest drive and closest to the pin, along with door prizes, will be handed out throughout the day. Hole sponsorships also are available.
