Falcon Lions Club feature local business at March meeting

Falcon Lions Club feature local business at March meetingThe Falcon Lions Club welcomed Ted Mische, owner of Furr and Fins, as the guest speaker at the March meeting. Ted and his wife, Kathy, started their business, which is located in the Falcon Town Center, four months ago. They specialize in high quality pet food, smaller reptiles and animals and have a pot-bellied pig named Diamond, who is a store favorite! As an ongoing community service project, the Falcon Lions Club and the Miami-Yoder Leo Club continues to collect canned goods. Collections sites are located at The State Bank and Famers State Bank. These service organizations have collected over 1,900 pounds for the High Plains Helping Hands and Care and Share Food Bank programs. The Lions are active in supporting their local community.Future fundraising plans to benefit people in the area and organizations and eye-related services include a Falcon Lions October Festival that will be held Oct. 4. The event features a blind tractor race, local food and beverages and craft and business displays.See information in the Community Calendar about our monthly meetings. All are welcome.
