Lorson Ranch Development agreementThe Lorson Ranch Development is east of the intersection of Marksheffel Road and Fontaine Boulevard, south of the Banning Lewis Ranch property. On Nov. 19, the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners heard a request for approval of an amendment to the Lorson Ranch Development agreements between the county and Lorson LLC and the Lorson Ranch Metropolitan District No. 1. The current agreement requires that a second road, Lorson Boulevard, would be constructed when the total Lorson Ranch Development reaches 1,135 dwelling units. The applicant requested that the density cap be raised to 1,800 dwelling units. County staff recommended that the cap be raised to 1,250 dwelling units in consideration of emergency and safety needs and to allow development of Filing No. 4. The BOCC approved the recommended cap in a 3-0 vote.
