Rumor has it that in early August, someone reported a bear sighting in Falcon. Apparently, the bear was seen around Woodmen Hills Elementary School and then again digging through the trash at The State Bank. Of course, it could be two bears. The Colorado Department of Wildlife did not hear about the bear, but a spokesperson said bears regularly visit Falcon by way of the drainage system. Bears apparently have a nifty underground transportation system! Warning: Donít feed the bears.Rumor has it that a group of people are talking about attempting to establish an area on the eastern plains as a gambling site. Cripple Creek is just too far, and gambling, they say, would bring in lots of money to the county. Plus, itís something to draw people (gamblers) to the eastern part of Colorado Springs. Are you pro or con?
