Kunjani means ìhowís it going ñ I see you.î Tami Donaldson is hoping to see a lot of people when she opens Kunjani World Coffeehouse in the Safeway Shopping Center this month.Besides being a coffee aficionado, owner Donaldson has been doing en gratis transitional training for the military for five years. She has a masterís degree in business administration and is working on another masterís degree in project management. Thus, the twist in her coffee house: Donaldson is making space for a conference room, where she will offer veterans disability and entitlement services information and transitional training.Besides catering to the military, Donaldson is hoping to attract ranchers. And sheís not worried about competition from nearby Starbucks (Safeway).ìWe will have a whole different clientele,î she said. ìI will have a western theme to support local ranchers Ö to conserve the feel of the ranching community.îCoffee, of course, is the big draw to Kunjani. Donaldson will offer nine different varieties of beans, and all brewing is done on the premise. Kunjani will house an espresso bar and feature an assortment of gourmet teas, including Chai tea, along with baked goods and light meal options. The coffee shop is located near Pizza Hut and Curves. Donaldson said they are still remodeling ñ basically, building a coffee house from scratch; however, she plans to open the second week in August with between five to eight employees.
