Editor’s note: Better late than never. The High Plains Little League story that should have been included in our May issue got lost in the NFH shuffle. Sorry about that, but here are some great pictures from the opening ceremony in April.Scot Raffelson, High Plains Little League board president, addressed a crowd of bundled-up parents for the High Plains Little League season opener April 6. Raffelson said Little League baseball started in 1938, and there are more than three million players in Little League today. He also said that the High Plains Little League has had more than 300 players in eight years. Twenty-three teams suited up for the opening ceremonies.
