Meridian Ranch International School in Falcon School District 49 held a job fair Feb. 1, and parents were encouraged to visit and speak about their individual careers to the kindergarten class. Angie Morlan, freelance writer with The New Falcon Herald and piano teacher, was among the parents who participated. A dentist, radiologist, network engineer and a few soldiers also presented information on their respective careers.Morlan talked to the children about being a reporter and getting the news to the public. When she asked the class about good reasons to read the news, the replies were straightforward. ìBecause something might catch on fireî – or – ìsomeone might have gone into a ditch.î
