Addiction to Facebook leads to arrestJonathan Parker robbed houses, and while in the house he checked Facebook on the home occupantís computer. Apparently, Parker was addicted to Facebook. After breaking into a home in Martinsburg, Pa., and stealing two diamonds worth $3,500; Parker logged into Facebook to check in with his buddies. He made a big mistake by forgetting to log out. The next time the victim of the robbery logged on to his computer, Parkerís information popped up; prompting a quick arrest.Perhaps his Facebook status should now say, ìTotally in jail, LOL.îDrug possession and stolen solar panels? In Chico, Calif., 32-year-old Chris Bess ñ a drug addict ñ decided to steal solar panels, valued at $50,000, from the roof of a school. Now, how does one fence solar panels to get money for drugs? Bess didnít get caught, however, until he was jailed for drug possession. The enterprising drug addict called a friend from jail and instructed him to get rid of the remaining solar panels. Busted! If youíre going to steal for drug money, you might as well go big and support solar energy. Really? After spending 20 years working with special needs children in schools in Newark, N.J., Stanley Williams, age 57, felt he was entitled to a record 33 sick days. The superintendent of the school district wanted to meet with Williams to discuss the excessive sick time. Williams decided he would be prepared for the meeting by having a phony doctorís excuse. His ìfakeî doctor wrote the reason he missed all those school days: Williams was addicted to cocaine. He ended up getting jail time for the phony doctorís note. But certainly he could have found a real doctor to write this excuse: Williams needed time off to deal with his stupidity.
