Indigo Ranch tops area in holiday food collections

Imagine Indigo Ranch was No. 1 among charter schools in Colorado Springs for the amount of food collected as part of the Harvest of Love food drive, sponsored by Care and Share of Colorado. The school was also the top producer for elementary schools in Falcon School District 49. Boy Scout Troop 255 collected the food and weighed it for the record. More than 18,000 pounds of food was collected. The classroom with the most collections got to throw pies at the principal on Dec. 14. That honor went to a first-grade class.
