John Giron of Falcon is a strength and conditioning coach offering personal training to local residents through his new business, CrossFit Rocky. Giron is a level 1 certified coach by CrossFit Inc., a fitness company based on the regimen created by Greg Glassman, trainer and coach.ìMy wife and I have always been fitness-focused, but we would get bored with our gym routine,î Giron said. ìCrossFit awakened our competitive nature.îGiron said CrossFit is designed to ìhelp people with a relentless pursuit for overall fitness, not a particular physique or body type.î The competitive nature within classes and among affiliate gyms has resulted in a competitive event called the CrossFit Games, in which 70,000 athletes from around the world compete in various fitness events to reach the finals, held in Los Angeles.CrossFit Rocky offers two classes a day for all skill levels. Individual one-on-one sessions are available for working on specific skills as well, Giron said. He can be reached at 805- 748-8480 or visit http://crossfitrocky.com.
