Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary of Black Forest will hold their first annual ìWarm Your Heartî firewood fundraiser on Veteranís Day weekend, Nov 10 and Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.The fundraiser will take place at the sanctuary at 5975 Burgess Road in Black Forest. Firewood will be fairly priced at $80 per standard truck bed load for block wood; $100 for split wood; the price for wood is $70 for all active duty or retired military members.There will also be special pricing for smaller trucks and SUVs. A minimum donation of $50 per load is requested and firewood is pick up, onsite only. Loading assistance will be available.Since opening in 2010, Wild Blue has rescued more than 250 dogs and cats.
