Yogurt shop opening

Gary and Pam Page are opening a self-serve yogurt shop ñ Swirly Cow ñ and they want the community to think of it as a hangout.ìIt is going to be great yogurt and going to be great toppings, but the fact that we are going to be involved in the community is what is going to set us apart,î Pam Page said. ìWe want to be the place that people want to hang out. Not just go and get yogurt, but actually want to hang out.îPage said they will have regular hours, but they are not opposed to opening for special occasions. ìIf there is a football game late on Friday night, we want to stay open,î she said. ìWe donít want this to be a job. We want this to be a way of life and that is what is going to set us apart.î Page said she and her family also hope to sponsor fundraisers with the areaís schools.Their name already sets them apart. ìWe wanted a name that was fun and that people would remember and kind of make them smile,î Page said. ìI said Swirly Cow one time and then we started ëgooglingí and there was nothing like it out there.î They are planning to open in October.
