The Homestead Ranch Ride will take place June 9 at Homestead Ranch Regional Park, which offers rolling, open meadows; bluffs, a spring-fed pond; creek; and Rattlesnake Butte, a landmark in eastern El Paso County. Enjoy views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains and look for a variety of wildlife. The ranch is an original homestead site settled in 1874. The park, which opened in 1998, is at 16444 Gollibar Road in Peyton, Colo. The ride will begin at 9 a.m., with lunch scheduled for 1:30 p.m. The cost per person is $50 ñ horses are not available for rent.
