Special Kids Special Families is hosting its first annual fundraising event Thursday, May 10, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Cottonwood Center for the Arts, 427 E. Colorado Ave. in Colorado Springs.†View artwork created by local students grades K-12 from Calhan and Corpus Christi Catholic schools.†This yearís theme is ìWe are the Same…We are Different.î†Students will be judged by local artists and community members for cash prizes.†The evening will include socializing, art viewing, wine tasting, heavy hors díoeuvres, silent auction and entertainment by guitarist Dave Arvizu.
