What are the key indicators that a friend or relative is suffering a stroke or heart attack? How important is it to act quickly and positively?Paulette Miksch, nurse practitioner, and Pete Glesser, firefighter/emergency medical technician from the Black Forest Fire Rescue, provided life-saving answers to these questions at the Black Forest AARP chapter meeting in February. They discussed the causes and classic symptoms of heart attacks and strokes in laymen’s terms.Organizations interested in receiving the presentation by Miksch and Glesser should contact the Black Forest Fire Rescue at 495-4300.
