Spring tree and shrub planting

The Black Forest Community Club is again cooperating with the Colorado Forest Service ìTrees for Conservation Programî making favorite species of seedling trees available to rural residents who have at least 2 acres of land. By ordering through the BF Community Club, orders can be conveniently picked up in Black Forest instead of Woodland Park, plus buyers can directly purchase in small lots of 10 each instead of buying at the 30 and 50-lot sizes. These seedlings are not intended for resale or landscaping. The last day for receipt of orders by the club is March 25. The order pick-up date is usually the third or fourth weekend in April, but that can be affected by growing and weather conditions. The club will notify all those who order via e-mail as to the exact pick-up date and location. The following businesses have order forms in their stores: Rockin B Feed Store, Black Forest Post Office, Ayers Saw Shop, Country Mower & Small Engine, Black Forest Liquor, Farmers State Bank, R & R CafÈ, Falcon Liquor Outlet, High Plains Library, Big R, Black Forest Lumber, Bartlett Hay & Feed Co. You can also print an order form at www.BFCommunityClub.org.
