WELCOME TO FALCON

Chiropractic Lifestyles changing ownershipAs of Jan. 1, Chiropractic Lifestyles has changed ownership. Dr. Mandi Miedema and Dr. Stephen Kutscher have purchased the clinic and will operate it as Rock Solid Chiropractic. To facilitate a smooth transition, Miedema and Kutscher have been working in the clinic since mid-December.Although the hours of operation will change, the clinic will offer the same services; with an added goal. “Keeping the body moving before you’re in pain is our primary focus,” Miedema said. “We are a family clinic so patients of any age are welcome, and we encourage people to come in with their family.”Miedema and Kutscher moved from Minnesota to Falcon in November. They were interested in purchasing a clinic, but the opportunities in Minnesota weren’t available for their needs, so they researched practices for sale in other parts of the country. “We looked into a few opportunities, but after meeting the people in the chamber and the community, we settled on Falcon,” Miedema said. The clinic is located at 11605 Meridian Market View.Falcon home to new churchAfter traveling over a span of 18 years to find a place to plant their church, Jean-Paul Escalera and his wife, Melody, will celebrate the new year in Falcon with the opening of Family Baptist Church. The Escaleras had scoped out Falcon five years ago, and are now excited to bring their family oriented church to Falcon, where two of their children are raising their families. “Our whole emphasis is to be a ministry where families can worship together,” said Jean-Paul Escalera, the pastor. “You will receive a warm welcome; find a place to belong, a purpose to fulfill and a person to know.”Family Baptist Church will hold its first service Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. at the Woodmen Hills Elementary School at 8308 Del Rio Road. They are in the initial stages of forming the church, so a permanent location is not in the immediate plans. Eventually, they’ll consider building a new church or purchasing an existing facility. “We are relatively new to the area, but we plan to stay here for the duration,” Escalera said.
