High Plains Helping Hands receives a helping hand

Admission to this year’s craft fair sponsored by The Exchange Club of Falcon was a used coat, non-perishable food items or a new toy, which went to the High Plains Helping Hands to provide for community members in need during the holiday season.Students from Patriot Learning Center manned food concessions and helped crafters haul their wares before and after the event. The Falcon Area Business Alliance partnered with The Exchange Club and put on a “Chili Tasting and Pumpkins for the Kids” event.Rose Mizer, director of HPHH, received checks for $2,550 from The Exchange Club of Falcon and $135 from FABA at the club’s November meeting. HPHH also received 344 lbs. of food; 40 lbs. of non-food items such as toys, ornaments and dog food; and six large bags of coats.
