The Black Forest Arts & Crafts Guild is now accepting applications for their annual scholarship, which is awarded to a graduating senior attending a public, private, charter or home school. The scholarship provides financial assistance toward higher education for students living in the Black Forest area who demonstrate academic competence, strong community involvement and school participation. Eligible students should intend to enroll in an accredited college, university or other institution of formal education by the fall of 2010.Applicants must reside within the Guild boundaries to be eligible for consideration: County Line Road on the north, Eastonville Road on the east, Woodmen Road on the south, Black Forest Road on the west as far north as Old Ranch Road, then west to State Highway 83 and north to County Line Road. Applications must be received before April 30, 2010. The winner of the scholarship will be announced at his or her senior awards assembly.Applications for the scholarship are available at Falcon High School, Lewis-Palmer High School, Pine Creek High School or on the Guild’s Web site at www.BFACG.org. For the last four years, the Guild has awarded $1,000 to a graduating senior living in the Black Forest area.
