On July 30, the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs InterQuest held an installation ceremony for incoming president Scott Allen. Allen will serve as Rotary president during 2009-2010.The Rotary Club of Colorado Springs InterQuest is active in local and international projects, including raising funds for local military charities and honoring enlisted troops in a special ceremony at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo. Every year, the club presents dictionaries to all third graders in 40 local schools, including districts 20, 49 and 8. Other projects funded by InterQuest Rotary Club include donating supplies to an Uganda orphanage, desks to a school in India and surgery room equipment for a Mexico hospital.The Rotary Club of Colorado Springs InterQuest meets on Thursdays at 4:45 p.m. at Liberty Heights, 12105 Ambassador Drive, Colorado Springs.
