The 2009 El Paso County Fair will be held July 18-25 at the Calhan fairgrounds. Entertainment includes a demolition derby, variety acts, reptile adventure, rodeo, truck and tractor pull, and petting zoo.July 18 – Military Appreciation Day, sponsored by Wal-Mart. All active duty military and dependents receive free admission with ID.July 19 – Family Fiesta Day, sponsored by Mountain View Electric AssociationJuly 20 – Furry Friend Day, sponsored by MVEAJuly 21 – Youth Day, sponsored by MVEA. Kids under 12 receive $1 off general admission.July 22 – Dollar Day, sponsored by MVEA. General admission is $1.July 23 – Heritage Day, sponsored by Cathedral PinesJuly 24 – Senior Day, sponsored by MVEA. Admission for ages 55 and older is $3.July 25 – American Heroes Day, sponsored by AMR. All military, police and firefighters receive $1 off admission for each member in their party.Admission prices are $7 or adults, $5 for seniors (55 and older), $3 for youth (ages 3 to 12) and children under 3 are free.
