It can be tough when you are a child in the hospital during the holiday season. The Kit Carson Riding Club’s Royalty is going to try and change that. They are gathering toys to deliver to the Children’s Hospital at Memorial to make a child’s stay brighter. Items like coloring books, crayons, colored pencils and stuffed animals can make a big difference to a normally active youngster. Match Box Cars, Barbies, puzzles and magazines can entertain for hours. Older kids like books-on-tape or puzzle books. Memorial Hospital sees a lot of babies through the winter months with respiratory problems, so rattles and teethers or other infant items are needed for the little ones.Kit Carson Riding Club Royalty will be collecting these goodies through the Thanksgiving weekend. They will take them to Memorial hospital the second week of December. The 2008 Royalty, represented by Amanda Summers, Johannah Butcher and KaCee Prather are asking for your help to make the holidays better for the sick children at Memorial.
