Over 500 people enjoyed festivities at the El Paso County Fairgrounds on Halloween. The Third Annual Community Trick or Treat was held in Swink Hall where area businesses, staff and volunteers handed out candy and had fun games for the children. A new addition in Swink Hall was a bubble zone where kids could play in fog filled bubbles. The Calhan Fire Department served delicious chili on a not so cold night. In the sheep barn, a haunted house was constructed for the haunted hayride. A mad scientist, toxic zombies, and other ghouls and goblins scared young and old. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped put together this successful event. We look forward to scaring you again on Halloween 2009.
