A swim and dive team has been added to Falcon School District 49’s sports curriculum. D 49’s first swim team is based at Vista Ridge High School and is open to all high school students in the district.Felissa Jacobson is the new swim coach, according to the D 49 Web site. She will hold practices at Woodmen Hills Recreation Center East.The girls will compete in the winter and the boys in the spring.Any student interested in joining the team must get a physical, complete paperwork and pay an athletic fee. The forms can be downloaded at www.d49.org/schools/vrhs/athletic_docs.htm.Optional preseason workouts began Nov. 3 at the recreation center. Regular season practices start Nov. 12.Parents with questions can e-mail Jacobson at fjacobson@d49.org. Diving questions can be directed to Coach Levi at jlevi@d49.org.
